I love its pin-point accuracy and range and I can consistently headshot with it. I've spent $40 on plat so far (picking 'em up when I got 50% off - never got the -75% off yet) and I have enough plat for (all) Warframe slots and (some) Weapon slots.įor a game of this quality, and given the number of hours I've sunk into it I think it's a fair trade. This means I want a secondary that allows me to be really lazy and Atomos isn't a bad choice for laziness, although some firing discipline is necessary to prevent endless reloading. *If I'm using my secondary for some reason, it's because I brought a primary that's un-fun (but was necessary for a specific use). It's all around the best secondary in every way to me (for everything but Plains content) but I can't recommend it to new players because it's like an 8-10 forma weapon since you have to build two Kohmaks.

If you get a riven, you can even build it for crit.
WARFRAME QUICKDRAW FULL
One ammo pickup restores you to full as well.
WARFRAME QUICKDRAW MOD
Built in punch through (SEEKER is the worst mod ever), can strip armor with corrosive faster than anything but the Mara Detron, and, as an auto shotgun, it racks up headshots like you wouldn't believe. Ballistica for the energy, especially for channeling frames (banshee soundquake, etc.) That doesn't mean you want to use it on a regular mission all the time though. *Every new player should get an Euphona Prime as fast as possible as it's probably the only gun you don't need a riven for to contribute solidly in an eidolon hunt. If you could fit Hunter Munitions and Viral it would be pretty cool (halve enemy health, lots of slash damage), but it's not worth giving up something like Heavy Caliber, IMHO. It's still a crit weapon though so it's fairly inflexible when it comes to builds, especially since it really wants the damage from Primed Cryo rounds and yet cold is a terrible element to have on it (magnetic!), unless you add another mod to turn it into Blast or Viral (the latter less amusing but more effective). The only loadout that I have it on now is Saryn as not only is it good at spore propagation, having Toxic gives Amprex three elements, leaving it less weak to standard resistances, and any additional damage you can get on Amprex is just gravy. Or frames where you can lean hard into the Vigilante set without repercussion (upgrade yellow crits to orange, etc.). After they removed Sinister Reach affecting the chain beams and lowered the crit, I now mostly only use it with frames that add damage of some sort and play up to that instead.

I used to use it with Mirage and lots of punch through for even more potential beam splits. Amprex has been hit with so many nerf bats that it's in a bit of a rough spot.
